Concrete Credenza

These two pieces explore contrasting materials and surface treatments. When making the concrete panels, they were over vibrated, creating errors in the casting, which can be seen as pattern, texture and colour. The water jet cut brass panels were heavily scratched then polished.

A gloss brush painted interior with brass detailing and rosewood trim add a domestic refinement to the industrial exterior. I have designed bespoke brass hinges to attach the doors, which open as a pair from central pillars, lightening the appearance and feel of the credenzas.
